Layering your skincare correctly enhances absorption, effectiveness, and prevents pilling. Start with the thinnest product and end with the thickest.
Farmhouse Fresh carries to many products and it can seem overwhelming. Here is a quick and easy routine for how to layer these luscious products.
- Cleansing Balm or Face Wash: Double-cleanse if you'd like! Start with a cleansing balm to remove make-up, then a face wash. Why you need it: Daily facial washing helps remove impurities, dirt and makeup that can irritate the skin.
- Exfoliator: Remember to exfoliate using circular motions. Don't skip over the fine lines around the eyes and mouth. Why you need it: Exfoliating removes flaky skin, helping treatments and products penetrate deeper.
- Mask: Mask all over or target areas like the t-zone. Some of our cooling masks also de-puff under the eye. Why you need it: Masks often contain a high concentration of active ingredients with diverse benefits based on the mask type.
- Treatment: Apply peel pads, acne solutions and prescriptions using circular motions starting at the forehead down to the décolleté. Why you need it: Treat your acne while protecting your skin from future damage and scarring.
- Tonic: Mist over face and neck after cleansing and throughout your day. Try spritzing over make-up for a quick refresh. Why you need it: Our facial tonics deliver refreshing hydration and enhance the layers that come after.
- Booster: Boosters are thin formulas that should be applied evenly to the face, under-eye area and as far down and the décolleté. Why you need it: Boosters target specific skin concerns like enlarged pores, dehydration and dullness (with many added benefits).
- Serum: Serums are slightly thicker. Place small dots around your face, neck and eye areas. Smooth until thoroughly absorbed. Why you need it: Serums treat the deepest layers of the skin to reveal a more youthful, healthy looking complexion.
- Moisturizer: Apply over a serum to lock in the benefits. Try a different moisturizer at night when you skin is working overtime. Why you need it: Helps maintain your skin's moisture barrier and protect against environmental damage. Some even repair while you sleep!
- Eye Cream: Place small dots around the eye, above the brow bone and between the eyebrows. Smooth in until thoroughly absorbed. Why you need it: The skin around the eyes is fragile, more prone to dryness and quicker to show age and fatigue.
- SPF: Apply our mineral sunscreen before outdoor activities. You may also blend with your daily moisturizer. Why you need it: Used daily, sunscreen can help prevent sunburn, skin cancer and premature aging.
